Your private pig island tour starts with a pickup from your hotel or villa on Koh Samui. The pickup time should be around 08:00 for the morning tour or 13:00 for the afternoon trip. We’ll take you to the pier in the south of the island by comfortable air conditioned minivan. There we board the traditional longtail boat for a short trip to Koh Tan, our first stop of the day.
Snorkeling at Koh Tan
After 15-20 minutes we arrive at Koh Tan. The boat anchors close to a reef, where you can go swimming or snorkeling. We provide masks and snorkels for the whole group. Fins are not allowed as they might damage the coral. Jump in and enjoy the beautiful underwater world here! There is enough time to go snorkeling, swimming or relaxing on the boat here. How long you actually want to spend on each stop also depends on you and your group. If you prefer to stay longer somewhere, just let the captain know and he will take care of it. It’s private anyway!
Pig island
Our next stop is Pig island, a famous and beautiful small island south of Koh Samui. Here we dock the boat so you can explore the island. Enjoy your time with the pigs, go swimming or snorkeling here, or just relax at the little restaurant on the beach. They have a small menu with lunch & dinner options, as well as cold alcoholic and soft drinks. You can also bring your own food and drinks on the boat if you wish. Kayaking is available at Koh Madsum for a small fee as well.
Return transfer
At the end of the program we set sail for Koh Samui again. The private pig island tour takes you back to the pier, which should take no longer than 20 minutes. The minivan will be waiting for you to bring you back to your hotel or villa on Koh Samui. What to Expect on the private Pig island tour
The private pig island tour from Koh Samui is a nice trip to experience the small islands south of Koh Samui. You will have plenty of time to go snorkeling, relaxing on the beach or go swimming with the pigs. If you want to bring food for the pigs; they love watermelons! In addition you can go kayaking at Pig island for an extra fee, which can be arranged on the spot.
Itinerary
Our driver will pick you up at the mentioned time from your hotel or villa on Koh Samui. Our airconditioned minivan brings you and your group south to Tong Krut. That's where the private longtail boat leaves from.
Put on a life jacket, pick a seat and we're ready to start the private pig island tour! The boat ride to Koh Tan takes about 15-20 minutes.
The captain anchors the boat close to a reef near Koh Tan. You can go swimming, snorkeling or relaxing on the boat here. We provide masks & snorkels and you are free to go snorkeling.
When everyone is back on the boat we make our way to the neighbouring island of Koh Madsum, also known as Pig island.
After a very short boat ride we arrive at pig island. The island is home to the famous group of pigs. You can feed them, spend time in the water with them or relax at the beach. There is a beach bar with cold drinks and snacks.
After quite some time with the pigs we board the longtail boat for the last leg back to Koh Samui. This trip should take no more than 20 minutes.
Our air conditioned minivan will bring your group back to the hotel or villa on Koh Samui. If you’re staying in the north, the trip should take no more than 30 minutes.

Lunch or dinner can be arranged at a beach side restaurant on return from the trip. It's not included, but can be arranged for THB 300 per person. If you want to include food, please let us know during checkout so we can arrange a delicious Thai style set menu for you.
Yes, as it's a private tour you can bring your own food & drinks. There is a cooling box with ice on every boat to keep your drinks cool. You can also enjoy drinks and snacks at the beach bar on Koh Madsum (pig island) for a reasonable price.
If it’s just raining, we'll still go out on this tour as it is a special experience as well to go snorkeling and to visit pig island in the rain. When the waves are too high for us to go out with the longtail boat, we'll cancel the tour and offer you an alternative date or refund the paid fees.
The best time to visit Pig Island & Koh Taen is right after the rainy season (February-October). The seas are usually calm and we’ll get plenty of sunshine. The best months are april & may, but keep in mind it will get hot on the island so bring plenty of (reef safe) sunscreen!
You can cancel your booking for free up until 24 hours in advance of the tour start date, no questions asked. We’ll refund you the deposit or you can choose to use it as an advance to a different booking or tour.

Nice trip with family to see pigs on the pig island. We were with 5 people an that makes it cheaper than the other tour for sale on the website. Snorkeling was good, but not amazing. Captain spoke little english but was very friendly. Worth the money.
