Pickup window08:30–09:30We start the day with a pick-up from your hotel or villa on Koh Samui. The exact time will be confirmed with you after booking, depending on the location of your stay.
We arrive at the breathtaking Namuang Waterfall. Here, you can jump in the refreshing pool below it or relax and view the water flowing down from the rocks above it. Make sure to bring your own swimming suit and towel if you plan to take a dip.
Next, we will guide you to the Elephant camp at Samui Elephant Home. Our guide will brief you on the activities before introducing you to the gentle elephants. We prepare nutritious, vitamin-enriched food for them, followed by a feeding session where you can also take some lovely pics. Remember to bring some comfortable clothes and shoes if you plan to get up close with the elephants!
Our next stop is the hidden Magic Garden, where you can walk around in a Tomb Raider like setting. All the statues here come with their own unique story.
We make our way further up the mountains to visit a 360-degree viewpoint at Teepangkorn Temple. Not a lot of people get to see this place: it's far away and not easy to get to. Check out the breathtaking views of our beautiful island here.
We enjoy a tasty Thai-style lunch while enjoying 360-degree views of Samui here. You can also relax by the pool.

We did this with a group of 4 adults and it was a fun day. The elephant sanctuary is clearly the right kind of place - no riding, animals in good condition. The guide was good though his English was occasionally hard to follow for the more detailed explanations. The 4WD sections were exciting and the mountain views were brilliant.

That 4WD ride up the jungle tracks to the temple is worth the price of the tour on its own.

I asked the guide on the way back if the same elephants had been there since the sanctuary opened and he told me some of their stories in detail - one had been rescued from a tourist camp where it had been forced to carry people for 14 hours a day. Understanding that background made the time I spent feeding her feel like the most important thing I did in Thailand.

I specifically looked for an ethical elephant experience in Samui and this was the best option I found. The Samui Elephant Home is clearly run by people who genuinely care - the animals look relaxed and healthy and the guide's knowledge about each elephant's history is remarkable. The feeding session was one of the most memorable hours of my whole trip to Thailand. The rest of the tour is great too but honestly the elephants are the reason to book this.
