While on a holiday on Koh Samui you must be tasting a lot of different Thai dishes. A delicious Pad Thai, curry or salad: the Thai kitchen has a lot to offer for your taste buds. What if you could cook a couple of these dishes yourself? That's where the Thai Cooking Class Koh Samui Smiley Cook comes in! We are a lovely cooking class located in the north of Koh Samui, close to Fisherman's village. Here you feel like being in an authentic Thai kitchen which can be outside in nice weather or inside when it's rainy.

Pickup times08:3015:30We offer a free transfer from your hotel or villa in Chaweng, Choeng Mon, Fisherman's village, Bophut, Maenam, Bangrak and Lamai (at the entrance of the town) areas. Are you located somewhere else? Please head to either McDonalds at Chaweng Lake or the Wharf in Fisherman's village. We can pick you up from there.
We then head to the local market nearby to purchase all fresh ingredients for the cooking class. You will learn about Thai spices, local herbs and vegetables. What we buy depends on the 4 dishes your group prefers to cook.
We will prepare the 4 chosen dishes of your group. Our certified teacher will explain everything to you and you will be able to ask questions during the cooking class. Each group has a maximum of 8 persons and everyone will cook the same 4 dishes. Our recommendation would be to choose a soup, curry dish, Pad Thai, a salad or a fried dish. But you can pick anything you like from the menu listed above, One dish is always included: a delicious banana coconut milk for dessert!
When the cooking is done, it's time to taste and check if you did it right! Depending on the morning or afternoon class, we will enjoy lunch or dinner together. Please don't eat too much before the class as it is a big meal, even for big eaters. We finish lunch or dinner with the coconut banana milk.
At the end of the Thai cooking class Koh Samui you will receive a certificate and recipes book for to bring home so you can try cooking for friends and family. Our driver will bring you back to your hotel or villa in the transfer area, or drop you off at the starting point of the day. A good day full of memories and new skills!

You can choose 4 dishes from the menu as a group, whether it's for 2 or 8 persons. Please choose your favorite dishes and discuss with other group members after pickup so we can buy the right ingredients at the fresh market.
Of course! It would be a shame to let your creations go to waste. Please do your best and follow the instructions so you can enjoy a tasty lunch or dinner when the cooking class is done!
Yes. Cancelling or moving your booking to another date is free up to 24 hours before the tour starts, and anything you have paid is refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time are non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded. If we have to cancel, for example for weather or safety, you can move to another date or take a full refund.

This was a great class, deserving of five stars. The chef guided us through the food prep and cooking process, sharing great insights. The setting, a kitchen nestled in the family's garden, provided an authentic Thai ambiance.

We chose this because it was reasonably priced and included a trip to the market and a hotel pickup. There were only three of us in the group, so we had plenty of chances to ask many questions. We cooked (and then ate) four dishes. They were all very tasty!
