Do you want to go snorkeling & sightseeing but don’t have a lot of time? Join us on a half day Pig Island & Koh Tan tour from Koh Samui! This excursion includes a transfer from your hotel or villa on Samui to the pier in the south, a speedboat tour to Koh Tan to go snorkeling on the reef and to Koh Madsum or Pig Island to visit the famous beach pigs.

Pickup window08:30–09:00We’ll email you the pickup time once the booking is in. Our driver will pick you up at the mentioned time from your hotel or villa on Koh Samui. We head south towards the pier in Thong Krut from where our speedboat leaves.
We make our way by speedboat to the neighbouring island of Koh Madsum, also known as Pig Island. This takes around 15 minutes. Here you can enjoy a long stretch of beach. This island is home to the famous pigs who stroll around and may go for a swim once in a while. Take pictures, go swimming or enjoy a refreshing drink at the beach bar (not included in the tour price).
We board the speedboat again for a short hop to the adjacent island Koh Tan.
We arrive at Koh Tan. Here you can go snorkeling and enjoy the beautiful underwater world. Please note that visibility may be less during rainy season. We provide masks & snorkels, and you are free to go snorkeling, swimming or relaxing on the boat for an hour.
After quite some time with the pigs we board the speedboat for the last leg back to Koh Samui. This trip should take no more than 10 minutes.
On arrival at the pier a delicious Thai style lunch will be served in the restaurant. Enjoy a selection of curries, stir fried & rice, depending on the season.

At 14:30 our air-conditioned minivan will bring you back to your hotel or villa on Koh Samui. If you’re staying in the north, the trip should take no more than 30 minutes.

The pig island tour from Koh Samui is a nice trip to see the highlights of the islands to the south of Samui. You’ll get plenty of time to go snorkeling and to enjoy the white sandy beach of Koh Madsum. Kids prices are valid for children between 4-9. Infants 3 years and under can join free of charge, provided they won’t need their own seat. We’ll be joined by an English-speaking guide and our trips are fully insured in case of accidents. FAQs
For lunch you can expect a delicious Thai style buffet. You’ll have several (halal) choices like a curry, Pad Thai, stir fried, chicken & eggs and a dessert. The food is halal. If you have any specific food allergies, please let us know prior to booking this tour.
If it’s just raining, we’ll still go out on this tour as it is a special experience as well to go snorkeling and to visit pig island in the rain. When the waves are too high for us to go out with the speedboat, we’ll cancel the tour and offer you an alternative date or refund the paid fees.
The best time to visit Pig Island & Koh Taen is right after the rainy season (February - October). The seas are usually calm and we’ll get plenty of sunshine. The best months are April & May, but keep in mind it will get hot on the island so bring plenty of (reef safe) sunscreen!
Yes. Cancelling or moving your booking to another date is free up to 24 hours before the tour starts, and anything you have paid is refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time are non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded. If we have to cancel, for example for weather or safety, you can move to another date or take a full refund.
To keep the ride safe, this tour is not suitable for back problems, heart conditions or pregnant women. If that could apply to anyone in your group, contact us before booking and we will help you find a better fit.

Nice tour for the price. It's a bit busy at the Pig island and coral isn't amazing but food was great. Guides lovely. Would recommend.

Nice tour but very busy when we went in july. The pigs are lovely but I'm wondering how they hold up in the hot sand. Didn't see them swim when we were there. Food is tasty and you can relax at a small bar on the island with some drinks.

The island is tiny; we went around quickly. The pigs aren't in the water, but you can feed them, and they'll follow you! The water is beautiful and warm.
